The Coalition of National Cancer Cooperative Groups is proud to offer TrialCheckSM,
a new Internet-based application. TrialCheckSM gives doctors, nurses and other
healthcare professionals a "real-time" search tool that quickly
queries and screens approximately 300 Cooperative Group cancer clinical trials.
National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute coordinates the National Cancer Program, which
conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination,
and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment
of cancer, rehabilitation from cancer, and the continuing care of cancer patients
and the families of cancer patients.
Cancer and Leukemia Group B
The Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) is one of three multidisciplinary
cooperative cancer treatment groups funded by the National Cancer Institute
(NCI), a division of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Each cooperative
group focuses on particular areas of cancer research, often collaborating
in large-scale clinical trials.
National Surgical Adjuvant Breast
and Bowel Project
The National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) is a cooperative
group that was formed in 1971 to conduct clinical trials in breast and colorectal
cancer research. The members of this cooperative group had been involved in
collaborative research as early as 1958. The cooperative group now comprises
the membership of the NSABP Foundation, Inc. headquartered in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania.

Rochester Cancer Center
The University of Rochester Cancer Center (URCC), a department of the University
of Rochester Medical Center, is a National Cancer Institute Designated Clinical
Cancer Center serving the nine county Genesee-Finger Lakes region in upstate
New York. The primary focus of URCC is to provide care for people with cancer,
and to conduct significant cancer-related basic and clinical research.
American Cancer Society
In 1913, 10 physicians and 5 laymen founded the American Society for the
Control of Cancer. Its stated purpose was to disseminate knowledge concerning
the symptoms, treatment, and prevention of cancer; to investigate conditions
under which cancer is found; and to compile statistics about cancer. Later
renamed the American Cancer Society, Inc., the organization now consists of
over 2 million volunteers working to conquer cancer.

The National Lymphedema Network (NLN) is an internationally recognized non-profit
organization founded in 1988 by Saskia R.J. Thiadens, R.N. to provide education
and guidance to lymphedema patients, health care professionals, and the general
