We are proud to announce that our very own Dr. James N. Atkins and Dr. Samer S. Kasbari have been selected as two of the Best Doctors in America for the 2015-2016 year. This acknowledgement comes as a great honor and achievement for Southeastern Medical Oncology Center.
Selected by their peers, Dr. Atkins and Dr. Kasbari will be listed in the Best Doctors in America database, which recognizes the exclusive five percent of American doctors that other physicians would trust most with their own personal care.
To become a Best Doctor, a physician must be:

- Clinically and academically accomplished
- A top medical practitioner, researcher and teacher
- Affiliated with national and global centers of excellence
A doctor cannot pay or even apply to be included in the Best Doctors in America database. A physician can only be added to this list after an extensive, impartial, peer-reviewed survey of thousands of doctors nationwide has been conducted. It is the largest ongoing peer-reviewed survey in the medical profession.
