cancer and blood diseases.

All of us here at SMOC work with you, your family and other healthcare providers to ensure the highest-quality therapy, treatment and care. Here’s how we do it:

  • Oncology Therapies

Lymphedema is the swelling of a body part, usually in the extremities, and affects about 1% of the U.S. population. Lymphedema is treatable with manual lymph drainage, proper bandaging, skin and nail care, exercise and patient education. Lymphedema therapy duration depends on the severity of lymphedema. At SMOC, we will coordinate your lymphedema therapy, referring you to a caring, knowledgeable and experienced lymphedema therapist.

  • Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are the method by which all medications and therapies are investigated, determined to be safe and effective, and ultimately approved for use. As part of their commitment to providing the most advanced and effective care available, SMOC oncology/hematology specialists are actively involved in a large number of clinical trials. This way, we’re able to offer care that is truly beyond the state of the art… and equivalent to the access to leading-edge methods you’d expect to find at the major cancer-treatment institutions.
